Thanks DirecTv....NOT!

5 posts in this topic

A big thank you to DirecTv, whom suffered a "system crash," for preventing probably millions of customers from being able to order and watch the De LaHoya/Mayweather fight this evening. Thanks a ton! Deciding on whether or not to have a replay the following day is going to be just dandy when I'll already know the outcome of the fight by then.

First and only time I have ever had a problem or customer non-satisifaction with direcTv that I've had since Cablevision (whom sucks worse) drug their feet with the YES network years ago.

Not sure what went wrong with your system, but I watched the fight tonight via DirecTv. It's too bad, it was a pretty good fight.

I can honestly say I have Cable TV and I have not had a problem

with the service in a LONG time.

DirecTv's computer system and website crashed at around 5:30 last night and they lost the ability to process any orders. Of course I found this out after attempting to order it by phone last night at around 9:30 pm when I finally got through for nothing. I knew something had to be up when it wouldn't send you to the automated system but put you on hold for an actual person.

As far as cablevision, I hear ya on the service. I don't like it because it is a monopoly that is entirely too expensive and they always want to charge extra for every channel that comes out. When they didn't put YES on their basic package I got DirecTv and never looked back. They still don't even have the NFL channel. Then again they can't run the Knicks lone a cable provider.

als, I hear ya on the cable price tag. I USED to have the big 3 Phone,Internet and TV through Comcast, When it got to over $160/month, I went to Verizon Fiber Optic for phone and internet, snd I'm patiently awaiting thw arrival of FiOS TV and then Bye-Bye Comcast. I love that FiOS internet access---MUCH faster than cable!
